Two ads been typeset for magazine. However, the advertisement needs to be targeted to the specific magazine. E.g. radios used in 4WD vehicles. Many magazines offer free adverts if submitted with an article.

1/7 Council Action on Remits
A/P Evan/ZL2DL to make changes to the Constitution and upload to the Companies Registrar from the constitutional remits.
Idea of handbook for new Hams from the floor of the AGM. Considerable discussion included the options for a printed version.
Ham Cram holders may be able to assist with the information to be included in this book. Guides to new operators, the ‘how to’ of amateur radio.
Council suggested a one-off print run, and perhaps electronic version be made available.
A/P ZL2YSL offered to get quote for printing.
A/P ZL2TW suggested to review old call books for information to be used.
A/P ZL2DL to coordinate the piecing together of an introductory booklet with ZL2YSL, ZL4XYZ, AZL1TAJ, ZL2IK.
A/P ZL2DL to approach, Warren Harris. Kelvin Barnsdale, Ralph/Rosemary Boshier, Richard Smart, David Walker for input to the booklet.

1/8 Review of 2018 Conference
Time table for AGM, should be determined by NZART Council, not the conference organizing committee. If dignitaries to be invited to open the meeting Council should have prior notice.
1/10 NZART objectives – where are we going.
Need to encourage Ham Cram Courses, more so retaining the new amateurs within branches/the association.
Promote power point ZL2TW created and promotional booklet in Break In, approaching branches who have had success in advertising amateur radio.
Need to document success stories from branches who have run ham cram courses.
Image of an amateur – how do others perceive the teacher – physical appearance
Council need to review their region and encourage branch participation in promoting membership/introduction to amateur radio.
Target markets to included – young/hobbyists/semi retired
AREC- source of recruitment. Aligning AREC with NZART will improve relations and potentially increase membership.
Retaining members after ham cram courses.
Warren ZL2AJ is national training officer, need to approach and ask what is required to re-focus training in branches?
